Michael Hotra

Michael specialises in public affairs, policy and regulatory strategy, advising clients on navigating federal and state political and regulatory environments. He works closely with legal, government affairs and leadership teams to develop strategies that mitigate risk, protect reputation and support business outcomes.

He has particular expertise in managing high-stakes investigations and has supported companies through DOJ, SEC and other agency reviews, as well as Congressional inquiries and oversight hearings. He also advises on policy-related shareholder proposals and complex litigation matters, including MDL cases. Prior to joining H/Advisors, Michael served as a Vice President at PhRMA and held senior roles at a Washington-based public affairs firm. Early in his career, he was an advocate for legal reform at the state and federal levels.
